大型眼底カメラ（第2報）

Design of a Fundus Camera

緒言

　著者等はさきに眼底カメラの新しい仕様に関する基礎実験を行ない，その結果，解像力をあげるか，または広画角にしうるような対物レンズの可能性を見出し，第1報として報告したが，この対物レンズを実際の眼底カメラに応用する場合に生ずる問題，たとえば表面反射の除去などについて一応の成果をえたのでここに報告する。

A report is presented over the theoretical and practical problems in the planning of wide-angle fundus camera (Nikon).

1. Mathematical treatment has shown that there exists a biconvex objective lens that is free of internal refraction. The lens is also to be free of spherical aberration: a factor that has to be considered when this principle is put to practice.

2. Through adopting the biconvex lens as the objective, it becomes now possible either tobuild a smaller fundus camera if the hitherto current viewing angle is covered or, converse-ly, build a wide-angle fundus camera without unduely enlarging the apparatus.
