The course of local dark-adaptation was measured with the autoadaptometer connected to Tübinger Perimeter in three normals, three cases of pigmentary degeneration and one case of Oguchi's disease under the following condi-tions. Intensity and duration of the initial light adaptation : 3000 asb for 15 min.

Size of test field : 27′in diameter. Positions of test field : fovea, 6°, 12°, 18°, 30° and temporally from the fovea.

1. The results obtained in normals.

1) At the fovea, the activities of cones only were recorded. The threshold decreased rap-idly within 10 min. and then leveled off ne-arly to a plateau.
