  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Twelve cases of Eales' disease were investi-gated. They were classified into two types. The one was a "malignant" type. This type showed a frequent repetition of haemorrhage from the site of periphlebitis, was accompanied with vascularization of the iris and chamber angle, and terminated in the haemorrhgic gla-ucoma within half a year period. The other was a "benign" type. This type showed a slow pro-gress and was never accompanied with vascula-rization of the iris and glaucoma. If severe and vision was lost, it was due to manifestation of retinitis proliferans and secondary detachme-nt of the retina.
