Ⅰ．緒言

　ベーチェット氏病は1937年Behçet^1）が，皮膚粘膜および眼に特異の症状を有する一連の疾患を報告して以来，その名がつけられている。

　病理組織学的に膠原病の一種であるといわれているが^2），その病因論はいまだ十分に解明されずしたがつて治療法も種々試みられているが，適確なものはなく，視力に対する予後は非常に悪く，鹿野氏ら^3）によれば治癒率5％といわれ，いまやそのリハビリテーションの点で，社会問題としてとりあげられるようになつてきている。

Eleven patients with Behçet's disease were treated by intramuscularly applied gamma-glo-bulin over a prolonged period. As initial dosis lcc of gamma-globulin was administered and was continued twice a week while gradually increasing the dosis until it reached 30cc for an average adult. The gamma-globulin prepa-ration contained at least 100mg of gamma-glo-bulin.

In cases in which the therapy proved effective, the ensuing attacks of iridocyclitis became less severe and/or less frequent. In 4 cases the treatment was found effective, in 3 cases as probably effective and was equivocal in 3 cases.
