A report is presented on a 41-year-old male who suffered from repeated transient attacks of conjunctival hyperemia, blindness of the right eye and of left-side hemiplegia.

During one of these attacks which lasted. about five minutes, ophthalmoscopic examina-tion revealed the superior temporal artery of the right eye to assume an appearance of white streak (shown as Fig. 1 & 2). The patholo-gical appearance was most prominent at the second bifurcation. No retinal edema was pre-sent in the area surrounding the pathological. artery.
