視野の会（第4回）

Symposium on visual field

　視野の会は昭和38年11月9日に第1回の会合を開いた。これは，同年春の日眼総会のおりに，水川孝教授，山地良一助教授および松尾が，最近にわかに注目をあびるようになつた量的視野について，お互いに研究結果をもちより，討論する場をもとうという話合いの結果始まつたものである。

　本会の当初の目的は，量的視野の計測という問題にあつたので，一般に演題を募集せずこの方面に興味をもち研究を行なつているもののなかから，適当な題目を話題提供という形で発表し，討論を重ねてきたものである。

The 4th Symposium on visual field was heldon Nov.14,1966, concurrently with the Annual Congress of Clinical Ophthalmology in Tokyo. Five papers concerning the subject were read as follows :

1) Correlationship of EOG findings and de-fects in visual field in retinal detachment, by Imaizumi et al., Iwate Med. College. 2) Central campimetry under direct control of fixation point, by S. Inatomi, Otsu Red Cross Hospital, Otsu. The method proved useful for examina-tion of patients with central scotoma or para-central fixation. 3) Quantitative perimetry by the use of glaring background illumination, by Iinuma et al., Wakayama Med.
