Family Occurrence of Stilling-Turk-Duane's Syndrome

I．緒言

　先天性眼球運動障碍の一つである，眼球後退運動症は1879年Heuckによつて初めて報告され，以来，1887年Stilling,1899年Turk,1905年DuaneによつてStilling-Turk-Duane症候群として総括されたものである。

　我国に於ても1900年，井上の報告以来多数の報告があり，最近原田氏は筋電図による研究の分野を開いたが，遺伝疾患であることを除いて本態は明らかにされていない。

A pedigree is described in which 3 members out of 5 siblings presented features of Duane's syndrome.

The first case, a female of 17 years of age, showed complete immobility of the left eye and maked retraction of the eyeball on forced adduction. The mobility of the right eye was apparently normal. Moderate retraction of the eyeball was observed on adduction.

The second case was brother of the above case and was 11 years old. Inability of adduc-tion and restriction of adduction were present as well as retraction of the eyeball on attem-pted adduction. The left eye showed retraction on adduction and adduction on upward gaze.
