I.緒言
A description is made over the occurrence of glioma of the optic nerve in a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. In both cases the cardinal symptoms consisted of unilateral exo-phthalmos and loss of visual acuity. Histolo-gical examinations after successful removal of the eyeball and the tumor proved the glio-ma to be astrocytomas. In spite of radiogra-phically discernible enlargement of the optic canal in both cases there were no features indicative of recurrences duning the postope-rative observation period of 3 years and 1 year respectively.
