片眼性網膜色素変性症の原因的考察

Etiological Study of Unilateral Pigmentary Degeneration

I．緒言

　1865年Pedraglia^21）がはじめて片眼性網膜色素変性症の1例を発表して以来，今日まで41例の報告^{2）7）9）14）23）}をみるが，はたして片眼性網膜色素変性症は存在するのか，存在するとすれば一体如何なる性質のものなのか，はた又両眼性の網膜色素変性症とは如何なる関係にあるのかといつた諸種の疑問点に対して，未だに解明をみず暗中模索の感が大である。

　今回，1例の片眼性網膜色素変性症を経験し，その原因として僅か興味ある所見を得たのでここに報告する。

A case of unilateral pigmentary degenera-tion in a male of 64 years of age was presented and discussed with particular emphasis on the results of the cerebral angiography.

It was presumed as one of the causes of this disease that wide adhesion caused by an old type of unilateral arachnoiditis existing around the optic canal to the frontal crest would bring chronic continuous ischemia to the branches of ophthalmic artery, provoking the pigmentary degenerative changes second-arily in the affected eye.
