Laurence Moon Bardet Biedle症候群の一症例を介して弱視学校特殊学級の増設を望む

Appeal for establishment of schools for visually handicapped children.

I．緒言

　この症例は昭和39年6月第34回九州眼科集談会にLaurence Moon Bardet Biedle症候群の一症例として報告し同年9月第2回九大・久留米大・山口大合同眼科研究会に於て上記の表題にて発表せしものにして症候群としてはすべての症候を具備しおれる稀なる症例なるためこれを報告し尚又これを介して所見を述べ大方の御批判を乞うものである。

A description is given over a female child of 6 years of age with typical signs of Laurence-Moon Bardet Biedle syndrome consisting of pigment degeneration of the retina sine pig-mento, obesity, mental retardation, genital hypoplasia andpolydactyly. Medical advice was sought over the outlook of school edu-cation in the presence of night blindness and mental deficiency After description of the case it is strongly advocated that the esta-blishment ofspecialized schools for similar congenital disorders and mentally retarded children ishighly desirable under state initia-tive.
