A report is presented over the influence of the dietic habit of 131 patients with hordelum from an analysis of the menu during the previous day of occurrence of the disease.

There were overeating of carbohydrates in 26.7% of cases, of fat and oil in 37.4% and of protein in 70.2% Indiscriminate overeating amounted to 21.4%. Green and yellow vege-tables and seaweeds were deficient in the menus in 75.6% of cases. Deficiency of vi-tamin A, B1 and B2 were detected in 53.4%, and 67.2% respectively.

Disproportion between staple and auxiliary foods was present in 55.7%.
