新案の固定式角板について

A new devised eyelid plate

I．緒言

　眼瞼の手術には角板を使用することが多いが，角板は使用に際しては，必ずこれを片手で保持しなければならない。しかしこれが案外厄介なもので，特に単独で手術を行う場合などは勿論であるが，助手がいても，絶えず角板から手を離せない為，折角の助手の手が角板保持という極めて単純な仕事に取られて，手術操作全体の立場から考えると相当な損失である。

　そこで，角板をその場所に固定し，滑り落ちない工夫を試みた。この考按によつて，単独手術の際は勿論，助手介助のある時でも，助手の手をもっと高次の手術操作に参加させることが可能になる。

A new devised eyelid plate was rerorted, which consists of two parts, a plate and an eyelid retractor with a small male screw. The plate looks like a canoe oar. The total length of the plate is 75 mm and its breadth is 20 mm in the one end, 15 mm in the other and 9 mm in the mid part and this narrow part has a longitudinal slit (3 mm in breadth, 38mm in length), in which a male screw of the eyelid retractor is to be inserted. The eyelid retractor is 34 mm in length and has a vertically connecting small screw (5 mm long) at the end of the handle.
