視神経より発生した神経膠腫の1例

A case of glioma of optic nerve

　神経の支持組織である神経膠組織から発生する神経膠腫が視神経より発生せる症例についての報告は比較的少ない。文献によると本邦に於ては現在までに16例の症例報告がなされているが，今回著者等も視神経から発生せる神経膠腫の一例に遭遇する機会を得たのでここに症例を報告する。

Authers presented a case of glioma aris-ing from the orbital portion of the optic nerve, A 3-year-old girl was admitted to the clinic with proptosis and papilloedema of the right eye as cardinal symptoms (Fig. 1, 2). Almost complete removal of a globular sha-ped tumor was performed by Kronlein's ope-ration retaining the eyeball (Feg.3). It tur-ned out to be astrocytoma histopathologically (Fig.4).

Better cosmetic result is expected by reta-ining the eyeball in cases of complete remo-val of the glioma.
