角膜上皮に対するタフルプロスト点眼液の影響

要約　背景：プロスタグランジン製剤である0.005％ラタノプロスト点眼液には0.02％，0.0015％タフルプロストには0.0015％のべンザルコニウムが含まれている。目的：タフルプロスト点眼が角膜上皮に及ぼす影響の報告。対象と方法：ラタノプロスト点眼中に点状表層角膜症が生じた原発開放隅角緑内障11例11眼を対象とした。男性5例，女性6例で，平均年齢は67歳である。タフルプロスト点眼に切り替え，8週後の状態を検索した。結果：平均眼圧には切り替え前後で有意差がなかった。角膜のarea density分類は，切り替え前に比べ9例が改善し，2例が不変であった。角膜全体と中央部の点状表層角膜症のスコア値は有意に改善した。結論：ラタノプロスト点眼中に生じた点状表層角膜症は，11例中9例でタフルプロスト点眼に切り替えた8週後に改善した。

Abstract.　Background：Commercially available latanoprost ophthalmic solution contains 0.02％ and tafluprost contains 0.0015％ benzalkonium chloride. Purpose：To report changes in corneal epithelium after switching to tafluprost ophthalmic solution. Cases and Method：This study was made on 11 eyes of 11 patients who developed superficial punctate keratopathy following treatment with latanoprost. The series comprised 5 males and 6 females. The age averaged 67 years. Cases were evaluated 8 weeks after switching to topical tafluprost. Results：There was no change in intraocular pressure after switching. Area density of the corneal epithelium improved in 9 eyes and remained unchanged in 2. Score of superficial punctate keratopathy significantly improved in the central and whole cornea. Conclusion：Superficial punctate keratopathy improved in 82％ of eyes 8 weeks after switching to topical tafluprost.
