Adherence to topical tafluprost treatment for one year in glaucoma patients

要約　目的：タフルプロストによる点眼治療の継続率の報告。対象と方法：過去7か月間にタフルプロストによる治療を開始した緑内障または高眼圧症271例520眼を対象とし，1年間の治療継続率を調査した。男性127例，女性144例で，年齢は22～93歳，平均70歳である。タフルプロストから別の薬剤への変更，併用薬の追加，薬剤に起因するタフルプロストの中止を治療中止と定義した。結果：65例を除いた206例での1年間の治療継続率は84％（173例）であった。除外した65例は，来院中止45例，続発緑内障の治療終了8例，死亡や転居など12例であった。結論：タフルプロストによる点眼治療は，1年間で高率に継続された。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the one-year rate of adherence to topical tafluprost treatment. Cases and Method：This retrospective study was made on 520 eyes of 271 cases who started receiving topical tafluprost in a 7-month period. The series comprised 127 males and 144 females with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The age ranged from 22 to 93 years,average 70 years. Results：Tafluprost treatment was continued for one year in 173 cases（84％）of 206 cases. The remaining 33 cases discontinued tafluprost either due to switching to other medication,prescription of additional drug,surgery,or side effects. Additional 65 cases could not be followed up for non-appearance in 45 cases,cure of secondary glaucoma in 8 cases,and some other reasons in 12 cases. Conclusion：Tafluprost treatment was continued in 84％ of cases for one year.
