Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of intraocular foreign body with ectropion. Case and Findings:A 74-year-old male was hit by a ruptured piece of steel wire on his left eye. Endophthalmitis followed but subsided after treatment. Ectropion of left lower eyelid developed 2 months after injury. He was referred to us 4 months after injury. His corrected visual acuity was 1.0 right and 0.4 left. Computed tomography showed a foreign body in the left eye. As intraoperative finding, the inferior rectus muscle was adherent to the sclera. Ectropion disappeared 5 days after surgery. Conclusion:The ectropion was secondary to adhesion of inferior rectus muscle to the sclera due to prolonged endophthalmitis.
