多発性後極部網膜色素上皮症の漢方治療

Chinese medicine in the treatment of multifocal posterior pigment epitheliopathy

要約　50歳代の3症例を多発性後極部網膜色素上皮症と診断した。1例は片眼性，2例は両眼性であり，視力低下や変視症などの自覚症状が3年から8年間続いていた。2例は以前に他医で中心性漿液性脈絡膜網膜症と診断され光凝固を受けていたが，再発を繰り返していた。男性の1例は八味丸エキスで寛解し，再発に対しては清心連子飲が有効であった。他の男性例には，まず柴胡桂枝湯，ついで柴苓湯を投与した。女性例には加味逍遙散を投与した。これら2例は，治療期間が短いので効果判定には至っていない。多発性後極部網膜色素上皮症に漢方薬治療が奏効する可能性がある。

Abstract.　Three patients were diagnosed with multifocal posterior pigment epitheliopathy（MPPE）. Subjective symptoms included metamorphopsia and visual impairment and had recurred or persisted in the past 3 to 8 years. Two patients had received photocoagulation before under the diagnosis of central serous chorioretinopathy. All the 3 patients were differently treated by Chinese medicine. It proved effective in one patient. The therapeutic outcome cannot be evaluated in the other two patients because of too short period of observation. There is a possibility that MPPE may respond to Chinese medicine.
