Purpose:To report two cases of Churg-Strauss syndrome with ocular involvement. Cases and Findings:A 46-year-old female had had bronchial asthma, polyneuritis, and retinal hemorrhage. When seen by us,she had occlusive retinal vasculitis with neovascularization, elevated IgE in the blood, and eosinophilia. She later developed granulomatous uveitis, impending occlusion of central retinal vein, and neovascular glaucoma. Ocular lesions regressed following surgery and peroral corticosteroid. Another 40-year-old male was free of allergic diseases. He presented with multiple tumors in the right orbit, bilateral parasinusitis, pulmonary lesion, elevated IgE and eosinphilia. He was highly positive for housedust IgE. Biopsy of the tumor revealed a marked infiltration of eosiophils and angiitis. Lesions in the eye, lung and paranasal sinus regressed following peroral corticosteroid. Conclusion:Ocular lesions in this syndrome may develop irrespective of preceding allergic diseases including asthma.
