  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Eighteen traffic accident trials concerning CRPS were analyzed. It is the problem that victims have severe after-effect with even small accidents. Six cases were diagnosed with CRPS after treatments had finished. Eight were at issue CRPS diagnosis in courts, and three of these were denied. Even though they were authorized grade 5-14th with after-effect, six had compensatory damages deducted due to psychological factors. Early diagnosis and treatment are important, but accurate diagnosis under the criteria (especially objective one including bone scintigraphy and skin blood flow) should be done in order to make the assailants understand about CRPS. This could prevent victims from getting worse from psychological factors.
