  • Look Inside

A 37-year-old man was admitted to our clinic be-cause of disturbance of conciousness, headache, vomit-ing and left hemiplegia for three months. He also had a history of attacks of abnormal orientation for those three years. Ventricle drainage and pneu-moventriculography were made for emergency care. PVG showed a filling defect of the third ventricle except its anterior portion. The right frontal cra-niotomy was done and the pedunculated tumor of the third ventricle was totally removed. The patholog-ical diagnosis was meningioma of the third ventricle arised from plexus chorioideus. The conciousness was regained soon after surgery, but the patient lost it within 8 days. He became to have the posture of decerebrated rigidity, gastroduodenal bleeding and apallic syndrome during the first 1-4 months of recov-ery course. The review of the literature and also the discussion of his postoperated complications were made.
