Behavioral Abnormalities in Animals and Metabolic Changes in the Brain
For the purpose of investigating the de-velopment of abnormal behavior, we have been working for several years on two kinds of abnormalities in animals. One is the re-duction of spontaneous motor activity produc-ed by chronic methamphetamine intoxication and the other is a genetically determinedseizure in a convulsive strain of mouse. Since these phenomena might be related to some kind of metabolic disturbances in the brain, it was expected that they could be explored effectively by means of neuro-chemical methods.
