  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A) The results obtained on the pain thre- shold by Hardy's algesiometer were as follows:

1) Healthy workers in high temperature over 5 years showed high threshold, but those in low temperature over 5 years showed no difference in threshold.

2) Injecting 0.7cc of 0.1% adrenalin into normal subject made down the pain thre- shold and 0.6cc of 0.1% pilocarpin and 2cc of 2% imidalin resulted no difference.

3) Back and Chest revealed low threshold on distribution of pain threshold at all areas of body.

B) By square wave stimulator were observed the followings:

1) Any difference of the pain threshold for the place of indifference electrode was not observed.

2) The threshold ascended, as the frequency increased.

3) The longer is the duration of stimulation iu duration to interval, the lower is the threshold.

4) Speed to increase the voltage didn't influence the threshold.

5) On the same individual, pain threshold by square wave stimulator had parallel relation to that by Hardy's algesiometer.
