我々の教室に於ける痙攣の発現機転に就いての研究の概要

The summary of the study in our class concerning the change of every stage of manifestation of convulsion

　我教室に於ては，昭和10年教室の火災に遭遇して以来，従来行つていた精神分裂病の体液の研究を一時中断することにして，癲癇並にテタニー痙攣の発現の機転に就ての研究を専ら行つて来た。然し爾来二度にも及ぶ余の応召と昭和20年の戦火による再度の火災による業績の灰燼に加えるに，終戦後数年間にも及んだ無為のために，この研究を，予期した様に進展させることが出来なかつた。だが我教室に於て現在までに修めることを得たこの方面の成績を一応とりまとめ，その大要を述べて，大方の御叱正を仰ぐことは，今後更に微細な研究の分野に歩を進めるに当つて必要なことだと思われる。依つて我々の教室で行つた今日までの研究成績の中より，この方面と関係のある主要なものを，ここに一括して，述べることにした。

　1）癲癇患者の体重は，短時日の間に著しい動揺を示し，癲癇の発作は，この体重の増加時に好んで現われる。そして発作後には，多量の尿の排泄とともに，体重の減少を起す。

This memoir intrinsically relates as many as 59 items classifying the summary concerning the change of every stage of manifestation of epilepsy and tetany convulsion. But to try to give full account of each item and enter into details throughout the whole, as each item has been goined by the elaborate study ranging over wide fields, is no easy task, even in our mother tongue. So now we must be satisfied with boldly picking out the essential points of the substance as follows:

1) The chemical, physico-chemical and colloi- do-chemical views on liquid and brain tissue before and after the manifestation of convu- lsion.

2) The effect on the manifestation or suppre- ssion of convulsion, exerted by the irregula- rity of chemical, physico-chemical and colloi- do-chemical views on liquid and brain tissue.

3) The physico-chemical and colloido-chemical properties of the brain tissue of a young creature liable to be attacked by convulsion. The further study prosecuted from various standpoints on the items stated above has brou-ght about the following results:
