血管寫による腦腫瘍の診斷

THE DIAGNOSIS OF BRAIN TUMORS BY ANGIOGRAPHY PRELIMINARY REPORT

　脳腫瘍に對する術前の局所及び組織診斷にあたつて，腦動脈血管寫が果してどれ位有效なものであるかを示す論文である。

　腦腫瘍の疑をもたれた患者の腦動脈造影寫眞について4人の著者等が別々に觀察したが各人とも病歴，神經症状その他あらゆる檢査成績，手術所見とは全く無關係に寫眞のみで診斷を行つてみた。

A discussion of one's ability to make a preoperative diagnosis of the pathological nature of intracranial tumors by angiography is particularly appropriate in a volume dedi—cated to Dr. Percival Bailey. For over two decades he has emphasized the importance of knowing the type of neoplasm in planning and executing the surgical procedures for its attack. As cerebal angiography become recognized as an important diagnostic aid in America, he realized the potential value it might have as a means of determining the pathology of intracranial tumors, and stimula—ted his associates to explore its possibilities and limitations. It was natural. then, as this project was envisaged that we consulted with Dr. Bailey in its design and were pleased to have his co-operation in the carrying out of the program.
