  • Look Inside

A case of 13-year-old girl with mitral valve prolapse and ruptured tricuspid chordae tendineae associated with primary pulmonary hypertension was reported.

Both M-mode and two-dimensional echocardio-grams showed characteristic findings of mitral valve prolapse. However, two-dimensional echo-cardiography showed an evidence of ruptured tricuspid chordae tendineae, although M-mode echocardiogram showed an early systolic buckling of tricuspid valve indicating prolapse of tricuspid valve.
