原発性肺高血圧症の血行動態—とくに予後との関係について

Hemodynamic changes in primary pulmonary hypertension. With special reference to prognosis

　原発性肺高血圧症（以下PPHと略す）とは肺および心に原因となるべき基礎疾患が証明されずに肺動脈圧が著しく上昇している一つの臨床症候群であり，現時点ではあくまでも臨床診断名である^1）〜3）。

　従って，確定診断のためには右心カテーテル法が必須の検査となるが，PPHはかなり稀な疾患のために血行動態について多数例を集積した研究は全く行なわれていない。

Hemodynamic changes were evaluated in 46 patients, collected from 25 medical centers, for whom a diagnosis of primary pulmonary hypertension had been made. They were divided into three subgroups from the prognosis. Group I contained 16 patients who died within 6 months from the time of cardiac catheterization. Group II consisted of 8 patients who died within 7 to 18 months. Group III contained 22 patients who survived more than 24 months from the time of cardiac catheterization.
