Development of Endoscopic Treatment Devices

要旨●大腸で確実性の高い内視鏡治療を行いたいと考え，大腸ESDを安全かつ確実に施行するための工夫を行ってきた．その過程で開発した内視鏡用局注材ムコアップ®，先端細径透明フードSTフード，大腸用ダブルバルーン内視鏡の紹介を通じて内視鏡治療デバイス開発における考え方や注意点を解説する．デバイス開発に必要なアイデア・発明は医療現場のニーズから生まれるものであり，問題を克服しようとする過程で行う工夫の副産物のようなものとして新たなデバイス開発が実現する．開発したデバイスが医療用処置具として普及して使用されるためには，その有効性だけでなく，安全性，経済性に加えて商業性としての商品価値も求められる．

　In order to perform endoscopic treatment with high certainty in the colon, I have devised several methods and devices to safely and reliably perform colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection. As endoscopic treatment devices developed in the process, I introduced local injection material：MucoUp®, small-caliber-tip transparent hood：ST hood, and a short double-balloon endoscope for colonoscopy. Through their introduction, I explained the thinking process and precautions in the development of endoscopic treatment devices.

　Ideas and inventions necessary for device development are born from needs, and new device development is realized as a by-product of ingenuity in the process of overcoming problems. In order for the developed device to be widely used as a medical treatment tool, not only its effectiveness but also its safety, economy and commercial value are required.
