On the basis of our cases and reviews of previous reports, this study aimed to investigate the morphological features and differential diagnosis of the following tumors and tumorous lesions in the small intestine:adenoma, lipoma, lymphangioma, Peutz-Jeghers-type polyp, Cronkhite-Canada syndrome, juvenile polyp, arteriovenous malformation or Dieulafoy's lesion, pyogenic granuloma, inflammatory fibroid polyp, and inversion of Meckel's diverticulum. Confirming the surface characteristics and color tone of the top and stem of a tumorous lesion, as well as the presence or absence of growth outside the gastrointestinal tract and other associated findings like calcification, is important for differential diagnosis.
