 BLI(blue laser imaging)and LCI(linked color imaging)are narrow-band laser endoscopic imaging modalities. BLI has two modes:BLI mode and BLI-bright mode. BLI mode is useful for determining tumor characteristics. BLI-bright mode is brighter than BLI mode and is useful for tumor detection. LCI is brighter than BLI-bright and may assist with detection of colorectal polyps. In this chapter, we examine the efficacies of BLI and LCI for colorectal polyp detection and characterization.
