Conventional colonoscopy, magnifying colonoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasonography are established procedures for diagnosing the invasion depth of CRC(colorectal cancers). BE(barium enema examination)is also a useful procedure for the depiction of size, location, and en face and profile views of CRC. Furthermore, development of flat-paneled detectors and C-arm devices has greatly contributed to the improvement of BE imaging of CRC. We believe that combinations of endoscopic and radiographic procedures are imperative for diagnosing the invasion depth of CRC.
