 Inflammatory fibroid polyp (IFP) is a benign submucosal lesion, the main symptoms of which are abdominal pain and vomiting. The form of IFP seen by X-ray or endoscopy is that of a subpedunculated or pedunculated submucosal tumor with erosion or ulceration. In typical case, it has a penis like appearance. It is treated mainly by laparoscopic enterectomy. Intestinal endometriosis of benign lesions occur mainly in the rectum, sigmoid colon and ileum. The main symptoms of intestinal endometriosis are abdominal pain or hematochzia. The form of intestinal endometriosis seen by X-ray or endoscopy is that of a subpedunculated or pedunculated submucosal tumor with transverse ridging or stenosis.
