This study examined the effects of an occupational therapy intervention, including adjustments to household roles with consideration of fatigue, in an elderly individual (A) with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) and frailty. A had a strong sense of responsibility and continued performing household tasks despite experiencing fatigue. After 12 weeks of intervention, improvements were observed in gait speed and the Basic Checklist score, along with a reduction in psychological burden. Additionally, the Geriatric Depression Scale score decreased. These findings suggest that for elderly individuals with CIDP, supporting task adjustments and role reorganization in daily life alongside exercise therapy may be beneficial for both physical and psychological aspects.
