内視鏡手術用測定機能付きガーゼの開発

Novel gauze with measurement function for use during endoscopic surgery

◆要旨：内視鏡手術における技術や機器開発の進歩は留まることはないが，体腔内の長さ測定を行える機器は乏しく，現時点で汎用されている内視鏡には装備されていない．そのため現在の内視鏡手術には計測に関する「正確性」が不足している．長さ測定が必要な状況下で簡易に計測ができ，その結果として正確な手術にすること，さらには正確な臨床データを残す目的として，簡易測定が可能なメジャーを手術に不可欠なガーゼと一体化させたものを考案した．汎用されている内視鏡手術用の帯状ガーゼに目盛線を正確に自動縫製したものを開発した．本医療ガーゼを体腔内に準備しておくことで，手術中の出血に対応できるばかりでなく，適宜必要な計測が可能となる．

　Although skills and instruments in endoscopic surgery have continually advanced, few instruments can measure lengths within body cavities, and the currently prevalent endoscopy has no such instrumentation. Therefore, measurement accuracy is not possible during endoscopic surgery. To facilitate simple length measurement when required, and as a result, achieve precision surgery, as well as record accurate clinical data, we invented a type of gauze, which is essential during surgery, that has a built-in ruler to enable simple measurement. The measurement scale was accurately sewn onto widely-used ribbon gauze for endoscopic surgery. By introducing this medical gauze into a cavity, we can not only control bleeding during surgery, but also conduct measurements when required.
