アディポサイトカインは，脂肪組織から種々の調整のもと分泌されるポリペプチドである．肝疾患に関連するアディポサイトカインの中では，アディポネクチン，レプチン，レジスチンが，最もよく知られ研究されている．また，脂肪組織からは，TNF-α，IL-6などのサイトカインも分泌され，肝疾患と関連していることが知られている．アディポサイトカインは，肝臓における脂肪沈着，炎症，線維化を調整することで脂肪浸潤に関連した肝障害を調整していると考えられている．本稿では，非アルコール性脂肪性肝疾患ならびにC型肝炎患者におけるアディポサイトカインの役割について概説する．

Adipocytokines are polypeptides secreted in adipose tissue in a regulated manner.　In liver diseases, adiponectin, leptin, and resistin are the best-studied molecules.　Cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor or interleukin-6 are also secreted by the adipose tissue in liver diseases.　Adipocytokines interfere with hepatic injury associated with fatty infiltration, differentially modulating steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis.　In this manuscript, we review the role of adipocytokines in the liver diseases such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)/nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and chronic hepatitis C.
