I．緒言
唾液腺由来で，皮膚基底細胞類似の均一細胞を腫瘍細胞とし，腫瘍実質と間質とが混在せず画然と区別されうる腫瘍に対し，1967年Kleinsasserらは，Basalzelladenome der Speicheldrüsen（唾液腺基底細胞腺腫）と命名した。これ以前は本腫瘍は混合腫瘍の1種と考えられていたし，また現在でもこの立場にたつものも少なくないが，前述のような組織学的特徴からは別個の独立疾患と考えた方が妥当であろう，最近，著者らは手術治療の2年後に脳および肺転移を来たして死亡した唾液腺基底細胞腺腫（basal cell adenoma）の剖検例を経験したので，その臨床的概要を述べるとともに，文献的考察を加えて報告する。
A man, aged 66, complained of difficulty in opening the mouth since 3 years ago. A tumor was found in the floor of the mouth and it was surgically removed. Histological examination revealed a malignant basal cell adenoma of the salivary gland with vascular invasion. Despite a complete removal of the growth the patient died of metastasis into the brain and lung tissues.
So far, the classification of the salivary gland tumors has not yet been established completely. And recently, the basal cell adenoma has been emphasized to a subtype of plcomorphic adenoma. The former, however, should be independent from the latter for their several histological characteristics.
The present case is the first one in which a malignant basal cell adenoma of the salivary gland is reported.
