I．はじめに

　昭和47年5月より約1ヵ月間，日本医師針灸師訪中友好代表団として，中国を訪れ，針による難聴の治療，針麻酔の開発状況を見学することができた。とくに北京工農兵病院耳鼻咽喉科は，除𦷟先生を主任として36名の医師が，80の病床をもつており，針麻酔下の，扁桃摘出，鼻中隔矯正，上顎洞根本，中耳根本など耳鼻咽喉領域のほとんどの手術を見学できた。

　帰国後，昭和47年7月より48年4月までに耳鼻咽喉科領域の針麻酔手術を87名．120側に行なつたので，その結果を検討し，若干の考按をくわえたので，これを報告し，諸家のご批判を仰ぎたい。

　With the aid of acupuncture anesthesia, the author performed 120 operations among 80 patients during the recent 10 months.

　In aural surgery the acupuncture anesthesia was a failure in 2 case of 5 operations; in nasal operations it was effective in 80% of 65 patients; and, in tonsillectomies 16 of 32 cases required orthodox anesthetics. The acupuncture anesthesia appeard to be the most effective in facial operation ; it was satisfactory in 12 of the 13 cases.

　There seemed to be no relation between the effectivity of the acupuncture anesthesia and the dosia of premedication but, a smaller dose of premedication appeared to have a better effect.
