I．はじめに
骨のEosinophilic granulomaの好発部位の一つとして側頭骨が挙げられているが，その場合，耳症状が初発となるので，欧米では早くから耳科医の注目を惹くに足る疾患であつた1）2）3）。しかるに本邦では典型的な骨のEosinophilic granulomaそのものがはなはだ稀有な疾患とされており，耳症状を呈した本疾患の本邦での報告はないようである。
われわれは最近，2歳の男児の側頭骨に単発した病理学的に典型的なEosinophilic granulomaでありながら，原発巣を手術的に治癒せしめ得たあとで，全身皮膚と眼瞼に丘疹として浸潤し，同時に前頸部軟部組織にも腫瘍として出現したが，放射線療法，抗癌物質，副腎皮質ホルモン剤の併用で緩解状態を保つている症例を経験したので報告し，併せて二，三の文献的考察と照し合せて，本疾患の病態について私見を述べ，諸賢のご批判を得たいと思う。
Eosinophilic granuloma is one clinicipathological entity manifested in histiocytosis X which is characterized by the granulomatous lesions of the reticuloendothelial system.
An infant, aged 28 months, was found to be involved with eosinophilic granuloma of the temporal bone, skin and other soft tissues. After adequate treatment with surgery in combination with irradiation and chemotherapy the patient made a complete recovery and has since been asymptomatic.
The mechanism and the nature of eosinophilic granuloma are discussed.
The emphasis is paced upon the clinical feature with which this disease is presented. Prognosis and therapeutic points are discussed.
