　Ⅰ．緒論

　各種口腔粘膜疾患の経過中に生じた潰瘍形成に対しては全身的はもとより局所的にも種々の治療が行なわれているが，今回高周波電気療法の一方法として知られている電気乾固法（Elektrodesikkation）を行なつた症例を経験する機会をえたので述べてみたい。

　Electrodesiccation was administered for the ulcer in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. By electrodesiccation it was possible to destroy the locus of the ulcer without damaging the surrounding normal tissues and to make a thin coagulation layer on the injured surface which was effective for hemostasis, analgesia and for preventing inflammation from expansion. It was thought that electrodesiccation would be able to be administered for various kinds of ulcers in the field of otolaryngology.
