いわゆる初生児或は乳幼児上顎骨骨髄炎に関する1考察

A STUDY ON THE SO-CALLED MAXILLARY SINUSITIS OF THE NEW BORN-INFANT

　Ⅰ．緒言

　所謂初生児或は乳幼児上顎骨骨髄炎とは初生児期・乳幼児期に発来する急性上顎洞炎が周囲骨壁に波及し，骨髄炎症状を呈したもの，或いは周囲組織炎症より波及性に上顎骨を破壊侵蝕したもの（更に此の場合二次的に上顎洞炎を惹起し，より広汎な上顎骨骨髄炎を招く場合もある）を言い，その炎症の態度及び侵襲部位に於て臨床的に成人の場合とは全く異つた重篤な症状を示すものとされる。

　その成因としては，先ず発生学的に上顎洞の発育未完成である点が根本的要因として挙げられ，更に感染径路として鼻性・歯性・経口腔及び外傷性等の直接波及性のものと，血行性のものとに大別されている。

Anatomical peculiarity of sinus cavities in the fetus and new-born infant are descri-bed. The authors believe the abnormal form-ation of these sinus cavities is the one of the reason for causing maxillary bone inflamma-tion in the newly born babies. Intrauterine infection of this area is also discussed.
