　I．緒言

　我々は，最近相次いで3例の舌癌患者に，患側のRadical neck dissectionを行つた後に，この創腔より口腔底横隔膜を開放して，舌切除を行つた。その結果，良好な成績を得る事ができたので，ここに報告する。

A removal of the tongue in 3 cases of ligual carcinoma is described. An excensive cer-vical resection on the side of which the ton-gue lesion is found through a horizontal skin incision placed above the hyoid bone. After ligating lingual artery the oral cavity is ope-ned through this cervical approach thereby, acquiring an accessibilty to the root of the tongue with more freedom than otherwise : the adjacent oral mucous membrane is remo-ved en masse along with the tongue.
