　緒言

　いわゆる先天性機能性開鼻声症と思われる1症例にあい，これが軟口蓋の機能不全と共に，舌の運動失調に由来するものであることを知つた。又患者の家系に興味をおぼえたので，茲に報告せんとするものである。

Shimizu reports a case of congenital nasal voice found in a woman aged 18. The defe-ctive phonation apparently was begun by pre-sence of congenital disfunction of the soft palate which later caused to hinder properfunctioning of the tongue in speech.

The nasal voice was eliminated by Schon-born-Kesenthal modification of Dorrance-Bro-wn method and voice training was instituted.

The family history showed that intermar-riage among the blood realtives occurred in both,the paternal as well as maternal side: nine cases of similar affections with nasal voice were found in the siblings of the family tree.
