—謹んで大藤教授開講十週年記念に呈す—高熱進行壞疽性鼻潰瘍—大藤教授就任十週年記念論文

　緒言

　鼻腔に原發する壞疽性鼻潰瘍は，内外共に報告謁載された物はあまり多く無いと思ふ．本邦では遠山・川名・金原・水野・北川・小山・宮原・田中・堀内諸氏により報告され，我が教室でも昭和16-17年頃1例あり，最近では私が日本耳鼻咽喉科學會東京地方會第265回例會で本症例を報告した際津田・黒須兩博士及切替教授によりそれぞれ追加報告があつた．

　此の疾患は嘗て增田教授が未だ原因不明の爲，鼻腔特發性壞疽と言ふより外なからんと言はれた如ぐ，今日尚原因不明の不思議な疾患の一つとして數へられて居り，爲に適切なる治療方法もあまり無く，遂に患者は慘澹たる容貌と變じ豫後不良に終る場合が多い．

　The patient, a woman of 35 years of age, developed a lesion, in right nasal cavity, characterized with spontaneous necrosis of undetermined origins and progressive towards the naso-pharynx. A fistula was established at the nasal root by destruction of soft tissues. Blood exanimation revealed a positive warserman test and several other bacterid. In treatment, antisyphilitic measurcs and administration of diphtheria serum have had no effect on the disease. Peincillin therapy appeared effective for a time, when surgical curettage of the fistula was accomplished by extra nasal incision; per oral adimnistration of sulfa diazine along with intra-arterial infection of sulfathiasol in concentrated glucose solution finally succeeded in the cure of the disease.
