I．はじめに

　爪下ないし爪床に発生する悪性腫瘍は極めて稀で,本症は1850年Velpeau1)による報告を嚆矢として,その後欧米ではprimary carcinoma of the nail, squamous cell carcinoma of the nail, primary carcinoma of the nail-bed, squmaous-celled carcinoma of the nail bed, epithelioma following chronic paronychia, primary skin cancer of the fingers simula-ting chronic infection, carcinoma of the finger resulting from a wood sliver, primary carcinoma of the nail-bed及びsubungual carcinomaなる各様の名称の下にKuster2),Robin3), Kronlein4), Hutchinson5), Lucke6), Toupet7), Kollike8), Blakeway9), Heidings-feld10), Chagas11), Peyrot12), Jaffe13), Eisen-klam14), Rechou et al.15), Silverman16), Pardo-Castello17)18), Siegel19), Levine & Lisa20), Bunnel21), Willis22), Ellis23), Bayer24), Rus-sell25), Falk26), John27), Ashby28)及びCanipe et al.29)等による報告をみるが,現在まで僅か40例を数えるに過ぎない。

本邦に於ては著者の知る限りでは未だ報告記載例がない様であるが,最近たまたま本症の1例を経験したので,ここにその大要を報告する。
