I．はじめに

　頭部外傷発生の力学的機序は，動的衝撃力（dynamic loading）と静的圧縮力（static loading）に分類される^2）．後者により発生する“押しつぶし損傷”crushing head injuryの臨床的頻度は低いが，頭部外傷の発生機序として重要であると考える．われわれの経験したcrushing head injury症例を呈示し，若干の考察をくわえ報告する．

We report 6 cases of crushing head injuries produced by static loading forces, which are defined as thosethat occur over a longer period of time (＞200ms) and are applied over a large area. Patients ranged in agefrom 4 to 53 years. There were five male and one female. The causes of injuries in 5 cases were industrialaccidents. In one case, the patient's head was run over by a motor vehicle in a parking lot. Glasgow ComaScale scores ranged from 3 to 12. Three patients had cerebrospinal fluid otorrhea and rhinorrhea.
