I．はじめに

　脳嚢虫症（cerebral cysticercosis）は，有鉤条虫（taeniasolium）の嚢虫による中枢神経系への感染症である．近年アメリカ合衆国では，メキシコなどの多発地域からの移民による本疾患の急増が指摘されており^2,12,16），また新しい駆虫剤praziquantelが非常に有効であることが報告され，本疾患が注目されている．本邦ではきわめて稀な疾患であるが，CTスキャンの出現以来報告が増加してきており^{3,4,7,9,11,17,20）}，また韓国や中国などの多発地域との国際交流が深まるにつれ更にその重要性が高まるものと予測される．今回の症例は，外科的摘出に加えて，praziquantel投与によって治癒し得た本邦初症例であり，文献的考察を加えて報告する．

A case of a 56-year-old Korean man with cerebral cysticercosis was reported. This case demonstrated the first successful treatment with praziquantel in Japanand also the usefulness of a low-close regime in the treatment of cerebral cysticercosis.

The patient was admitted to our hospital with a 7 years history of generalized seizure and a 6 months his-tory of gait disturbance. He had 6 subcutaneous nodules. A CT scan of the brain showed multiple cysts containing a small calcification and the largest lesion measured 5 cm in diameter in the cerebellar vermis.
