はじめに

　神経症候学的に脳幹や小脳の障害と眼振との関係を考えるとき，「眼振」のみならず，眼球運動の異常をも含めて，その所見を考えることが臨床的に重要である。

　すなわち，脳幹障害では，共同偏視や非共同眼球運動としてのMLF症候などがそれであり，また，小脳障害では，眼球運動のジスメトリーを中心とした諸種の異常眼球運動が包括される。

Nystagmus and abnormal eye movement in lesions of the brain stem and the cerebellum were studied in view of neuro-otology. In the cases of the brain stem lesion, special stress was put on the gaze disturbance in horizontal plane due to lesions of paramedian pontine reticular formation (PPRF). Lateral gaze nystagmus, MLF syndrome, disturbance of horizontal OKN, skew diviation and ocular bobbing were considered as lesions of the pons.
