脳機能イメージングを用いた前頭葉研究は，機能的MRIを中心として多くの研究成果があげられてきている。近年，近赤外計測装置が研究に用いられるようになり，比較的多くの制限があるものの，実験環境構築の自由度が高いことから，日常生活に密接した活動中の前頭前野の活動をモニターすることが可能となった。脳機能イメージング研究は，現在，脳科学の基礎研究として推進されているばかりではなく，脳機能イメージングの技術や知識を社会に還元する社会技術研究にも，用いられるようになってきている。その一環として，筆者らは，子どもの遊びが脳に与える影響を検討するために，様々な遊びを行っている最中の，背外側前頭前野の活動の研究を試みた。

As for the frontal lobe research which uses functional brain imaging, many research results have been published using function MRI. Although there are relatively many restrictions, a near infrared spectroscopy（NIRS）makes it possible to monitor brain activity during the tasks which are close to daily life from the fact that degree of freedom of experiment environmental construction is high. Recently, functional brain imaging research keeps being propelled presently as basic research of brain science, it also has reached the point where it is used for the technology of functional brain imaging towards the social technology research which restores knowledge to society. In this paper, we present an example of our social technology researches. We measured prefrontal activity during various play were done using fMRI and NIRS, in order to discuss the influence which play of the child gives to the brain.
