近年，精神展開剤をうつ病など複数の精神科疾患の治療に応用する動きが活発になっている。精神展開剤は1960年代に治療効果が検証されていたが，市井での乱用により1970年に麻薬に指定され，いったん臨床研究は中断した。しかし，1994年の臨床試験を皮切りに，多数の臨床試験が実施され，大きな盛り上がりを見せている。本総説では，強力な治療効果を有する精神展開剤の歴史を概観し，本分野の今後の展望を概観する。

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a growing movement to apply psychedelic drugs for treating psychiatric disorders, including depression. Although the therapeutic effects of psychedelic drugs were verified in the 1960s, their abuse by the public led to their designation as narcotics in 1970, and clinical research on them was suspended for a time. However, since 1994, clinical trials have been conducted in large numbers and elicited great excitement. In this review, we consider the history of psychedelic drugs with potent therapeutic effects and outline the prospects for this field.
