映画『ほんとうのジャクリーヌ・デュ・プレ』は，天才チェリストであるジャクリーヌ・デュ・プレが，多発性硬化症（multiple sclerosis：MS）を発症したことをきっかけに，一人の音楽家として，そして一人の人間としての自身の意義について思い悩む姿を描いた作品である。本稿では，ジャクリーヌのMSとしての臨床像，そしてジャクリーヌにとって最善であると考えられるMS治療について，当時のMS診療と最新のMS治療戦略を比較しながら考察する。

Abstract

Hilary and Jackie, is a film about Jacqueline du Pré, a genius cellist, who struggled with the consideration of the significance for being a cellist and a human being after she developed multiple sclerosis (MS). This article describes the clinical course of Jacqueline with MS and the therapeutics that seemed to be the best for Jacqueline, while comparing the medical standards at the time of her diagnosis with MS, with the latest medical treatment strategies for MS.
