　限局性前立腺癌に対してミニラパロトミー恥骨後式前立腺全摘除術を施行し，従来法と比較検討した。平均手術時間と平均出血量はミニラパロトミー法は249分，1,108mlで，従来法では229分，1,155mlであった。ミニラパロトミー法の術後の創部痛は軽度であり，10例中9例で術翌日に無理なく歩行を開始できたが，従来法では12例中3例のみが術翌日より歩行していた。ミニラパロトミー法は従来法に習熟した泌尿器科医であれば安全に施行でき，しかもより低侵襲の術式と考えられた。

We attempted minilaparotomy radical retropubic prostate-ctomy (minilap RRP) for ten patients with clinically local-ized prostate cancer and compared the results with those of the conventional RRP. Mean operating time and mean blood loss were 249 minutes and 1108ml in minilap RRP, and 229min and 1155ml in conventional RRP, respectively. Wound pain was minimal and all patients but one who underwent minilap RRP walked without difficulty on the first postoperative day. In contrast, only three patients out of 12 who underwent conventional RRP could walk on the first postoperative day.
